The extrication jacket is designed to rescue and immobilize patients from car accidents and other confined Spaces. The extrication device is usually carried by an ambulance and is usually applied by emergency medical technicians, paramedics, or other first responders. The wraparound design provides horizontal flexibility for easy application and vertical rigidity to provide maximum support for the spine, neck and head during rescue. The body immobilization has two head bands, three torso bands, and two leg bands, which are used to sufficiently immobilize the victim.
